How to Create Your Custom Calendar in Canva (Step-by-Step)

If you want to add a professional calendar grid or specific dates to your floral vases before printing, Canva is the perfect free tool. Here is how to do it in 5 minutes:

1. Create a New Design

Go to and click “Create a design.”
Choose “Custom size” and set it to A4 (210 x 297 mm) or Letter (8.5 x 11 in) depending on your printer paper.

2. Upload Your Floral PNGs

On the left-hand sidebar, click the “Uploads” tab.
Click “Upload files” and select the Floral PNG files you just downloaded from this blog.
Once uploaded, simply click or drag the vase images onto your blank canvas.

3. Arrange Your Layout

Since the PNGs have a transparent background, you can overlap them or place multiple vases on one page to save paper.
Resize them by pulling the corners of the image box.

4. Add the Calendar Grid

Go to the “Elements” tab on the left.
Search for “Calendar 2026” (or the current year). Canva has many pre-made monthly grids!

✂️ How to “Print Then Cut” with Your Cricut Machine

If you have a Cricut (Explore, Maker, or Joy Xtra), you can turn these floral designs into perfectly cut stickers or desk cards in minutes. Here is the quick workflow:

1. Upload to Design Space

Open Cricut Design Space and start a “New Project.”
Click “Upload” > “Upload Image” and select the transparent PNG files.
Select “Complex” as the image type to ensure all the fine floral details and colors are preserved.

2. Select “Print Then Cut”

On the next screen, you don’t need to remove the background (it’s already transparent!). Just hit “Apply & Continue.”
Choose the “Print Then Cut Image” option (the one that shows the full-color design) and click “Upload.”

3. Resize and Layout

Add the image to your Canvas.
Important: If you want to write on the vases first, use the “Text” tool in Design Space to add the month or dates over the vase.
Select both the floral image and your text, then click “Flatten” in the bottom right corner. This tells Cricut to print the text on the flower and only cut the outer edge.

4. Send to Printer

Click “Make It.” Design Space will add a black registration box around your flowers.
Click “Continue” and then “Send to Printer.” * Pro Tip: Turn on “Use System Dialogue” to ensure your printer is set to “Best Quality” or “Photo Paper” mode.

5. Load and Cut

Place your printed sheet onto a LightGrip (Blue) or StandardGrip (Green) mat.

Load the mat into the machine and press the flashing “Go” button. The sensors will read the black lines and cut your flowers out perfectly!
